In November 2023, I took on the news director and reporter role at Wrangell, AK’s community radio station, KSTK. My first day was the same day of the Southeast island’s fatal landslide. Two journalists flew in to help me that week. Since then, I’ve been covering community stories that range from theatre productions, state trooper awards and everything in between.

As his land dries, a farmer hopes to adapt

In 2022, I was accepted to participate in NPR’s Next Generation Radio mentorship project. I met Andre Houssney, an organic farmer in Boulder, Colorado. This story covers his experience with the changing climate along with his hopes, dreams and past where he compares his first home in Beirut to his home in Boulder.

Pregnancy, discrimination and COVID-19

During the fall of 2020, two midwives talk about their approach to create safe spaces for underrepresented pregnant people. We also hear from two mothers who share their experiences and fears when it comes to childrearing in white America.
