welcome & hello

My name is Colette Czarnecki. I produce audio, visuals and non-fiction print. I’m a reporter, news host and news director for KSTK in Wrangell, Alaska.

I have a plethora of interests, including culture, the environment, gender, class, justice and how communities evolve and thrive - or not.

I have a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Environmental Science and Urban Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit.

My work has been published at KSTK, Alaska Public Media, KTOO, The Journal, NPR Next Gen Radio, Boulder Reporting Lab, Out Front and The Bold.

You can find me bouncing around this small town island with my pup, Alice.
